BALFIN Group’s competitive advantage comes from developing its human capital. We consider members of our organization assets, which is why we are committed to investing in their further development. Despite the pandemic and its obstacles, BALFIN Group companies adapted quickly and joint trainings remains a solid focus. This month, employees had the opportunity of attending two valuable online trainings: “Strategic Writing” and “Effectively Manage People and Teams”.
“Strategic Writing” provided our 11 participants of Communications Departments from BALFIN, Tirana Bank, ACREM, Spar and Neptun Macedonia with insights and skills to write content such as press releases, articles, blogposts and printed materials.
The workshop, organized by Lincoln Center and facilitated by Elizabeth Gowing empowered the participants to share stories as a way to boost engagement, grab readers’ attention with the senses and direct speech, integrate photos and graphics and effectively “show” rather than “tell” their readers about products and services. In this course, workshop modules were combined with individual writing sessions as a support for preparing the participants to become more effective writers.
“Effectively Manage People and Teams” demonstrated how a great manager displays leadership, empathy and at the same time builds, motivates, delegates, and coaches their team to reaching organizational objectives. This two-days training seminar, organized by AIEx Albania, mentored by Aleksandra Kasmi, a well-known senior management trainer and business coach, enabled 24 middle managers from companies such as BALFIN, Tirana Bank, Spar, Fashion Group Albania, Mane TCI, AES and On Solutions, to ‘master’ people management skills and team leadership.
The training, for the first time in months, took place in a classroom at TBU, making it more interactive, bringing a positive spirit and a missed sense of normality.
At the end of the course, the participants were equipped with knowledge on the importance of using Emotional Intelligence in becoming effective people managers. They also learned different methods on how to recognize and adopt motivational, influential communication styles according to the staff personality types.
Training is essential for the BALFIN Group, as it not only equips staff with a variety of soft or technical skills, but also assists in teambuilding and creates a supportive and appreciative work climate. During the trainings, the employees got to know each other better in different simulations. This helps strengthen relationships, especially in the case of employees coming from different group companies. This way, communication barriers are eliminated, and we pave the way for improved synergy and cooperation at company and group level. Lastly but not least important, these opportunities boost employee satisfaction and morale, a key motivation in our long term commitment for further development.
