Spar Albania recently has supported the activity “In the Labyrinth” which was organized by World Vision in the city of Korça, in order to raise awareness against violence towards children.
Now, in its second year, the project “In the Labyrinth” comes to the city of Korça. The labyrinth installation was located in the Boulevard in the center of the city. This labyrinth, with an area of 400 m2, stayed up for 5 days on the Boulevard and was visited by around 600 citizens, who became part of an individual and challenging experience. During the journey through the labyrinth, citizens were informed of the consequences of their behavior towards children.
Present at the presentation of this program was the Mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, Director of World Vision for Albania Eljona Boçe and Spar Korça Administrator, Genci Nebiu.
The awareness process is a long and difficult journey, which must be cultivated within each of us and in future generations, in order to create a healthier social environment for children, who are the future of this country,” said Genci Nebiu, Spar Korça Administrator, during the presentation of the Labyrinth.
Spar Albania and BALFIN Group have supported this World Vision project since its inception.
Spar’s cooperation with World Vision in Albania is now entering its fourth year, extending to several different World Vision programs. One of the most successful program is “Tungjatjeta”. Thanks to this program, today, 200 children with disabilities in different provinces of the country, receive specialized assistance. For each bottle of “Spar” water sold in the markets and hypermarkets of the network, 5 ALL went in support of “Tungjatjeta”.
Such social issues are and will remain a priority for Spar Albania in the future. Collaborations with social actors in Albania will always find support in order to create a healthier social environment.
