Tirana Bank’s Commitment to Sustainability: Financing Renewable Energy Projects for Albanian Businesses
Tirana Bank is committed to environmental protection through dedicated financing for renewable energy, supporting Albanian businesses on the path to sustainability.
Over the past two years, the bank has financed projects for the installation of photovoltaic panels, which are divided into two main categories:
Self-production/Self-consumption for Businesses: Financing up to 100% (excluding VAT) for the installation of solar panels in business premises, such as rooftops, and reducing electricity bills for businesses with installation capacities of up to 500 kW.

Energy Production and Sale: Financing up to 80% (excluding VAT) for businesses that produce and sell energy in open markets, such as ALPEX and other regional markets. To date, one project has been implemented with an installation capacity of over 2 MW.

In this category, Tirana Bank has financed the first project valued at approximately 6 million EUR and is processing two large projects with a total financing value of around 50 million EUR, with potential participation from Tirana Bank of up to 23 million EUR.
These initiatives aim not only to protect the environment but also to promote sustainable development, reduce costs for businesses in Albania, and build a greener future for the generations to come.
