Position: Senior Finance Officer

Job Summary: His/her responsibilities include the preparation of comprehensive annual and monthly financial statements in compliance with the company’s standards and procedures. He/she ensures the accurate recording of purchase and sales invoices in accordance with applicable tax legislation. He/she manages the monitoring of contract reports and client collections. Additionally, he/she conducts detailed reviews of monthly expenses and revenues related to the assigned project. Furthermore, he/she supports the development of the company’s budget and business plan.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepares and consolidates financial data for projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with national and international accounting and financial reporting standards;
- Coordinates with the Accounting and Reporting team to collect and analyze financial data from each project for reporting purposes;
- Ensures adherence to deadlines and legal requirements for financial reporting for all projects;
- Conducts financial analyses on project data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement;
- Prepares financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each project to support decision-making processes and performance evaluation;
- Develops management-specific reports, including budget vs. actual analyses, variance explanations, and financial performance summaries;
- Collaborates with project managers to create dashboards and tailored performance metrics;
- Supports the preparation of reports and presentations for the executive level regarding the overall financial performance of projects (for management and shareholders);
- Assists in the preparation of analyses, reports, and presentations for third parties (e.g., managing companies of certain projects), including coordination with these entities for reporting and monitoring KPIs;
- Utilizes financial systems and reporting tools to streamline and automate the financial reporting process;
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency in financial reporting;
- Works with IT teams and external contractors to optimize financial reporting systems and ensure data accuracy and integrity;
- Ensures compliance with legal reporting requirements and financial data declarations in line with regulations;
- Assists in the preparation of project financial data for external auditors (both company and group auditors);
- Keeps updated on changes in financial reporting standards, reporting requirements, and industry best practices;
- Analyzes and monitors the implementation of departmental procedures and proposes changes to existing procedures to enhance workflow;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: University Degree in Finance/Accounting;
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in the profession;
- Professional certifications are a significant advantage;
- Experience in financial analysis, budget preparation, and financial reporting;
- In-depth knowledge of international accounting and financial standards;
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., complex data analysis, VBA);
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Navision, Financa 5);
- Skills in using analytical and reporting tools;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and assist in the development of colleagues;
